Looking for a list of the best vampire games on PC? It’s all Christopher Lee’s fault. Despite the best efforts of Bram Stoker, Max Schreck, and Stephenie Meyer in trying to make them look bad – everyone wants to be a vampire. As The Lost Boys pointed out, “Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old.
It’s fun to be a vampire.” And as the videogame industry quickly realized, having supernatural powers of darkness is pretty cool too, which is why there are so many fun vampire games around. We’ll be charting a course across aplenty of genres and decades to deliver our picks of the PC’s top vampire games. So whether you prefer the power fantasy, roleplaying potential, or moral implications of being a vampire, we’ve got something to suit all tastes.Being able to jump really high, tear regular humans to shreds, use creepy magic powers, and replenish health by feasting on your enemies – all PC games should be vampire games. To that end, we’ve gone to the heart of Transylvania, to round up all the best vampire games on PC, but watch out – they bite. Bloodlines is one of – not just in the vampire games genre – that fate and bad business decisions dealt a poor hand to. A rushed release date that put it out on the same day as Half-Life 2, a still relatively unknown developer in Troika, and a list of bugs that would make a QA tester weep. It’s unfinished, but it’s worth playing for one main reason – it’s Deus Ex with vampires, which is a pitch that still makes us swoon. After picking one of several clans – which alter how the game plays – you’re free to wander around the dark streets of Los Angeles in search of souls to feed on, quests to complete, and to find out why the clans are at each other’s throats (a particularly bad thing for vampires). How you do any of these things is up to you, and it’s all underpinned by the clever rules of the Masquerade.
Be a charming Toreador and you can simply persuade thralls to offer their necks to you, but if you’re a hideous Nosferatu you’ll be skulking through sewers in fear of anyone even seeing you. It can be a bit rough around the edges, but Bloodlines has enough fantastic ideas to negate any issues.Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Castlevania is the most revered vampire games saga around, so it’s disappointing just how few titles in the series have actually made it to PC. We’re hopeful we’ll see Symphony of the Night and the other 2D Metroidvania games on Steam before too long, but until then we’re fortunate to at least have the best 3D Castlevania game – which is also one of the ever made. The first Lords of Shadow is an action-packed epic, mixing God of War-style combat with frantic, thrilling set-pieces.
Players take on the role of Gabriel Belmont and wield a crucifix-chain-whip against the forces of darkness. The action is initially a little button-mashy but soon becomes quite tactical – forcing players to mix between direct and area attacks, dodges, counters, combos, and eventually even magic powers. Better still, in the sequel Gabriel actually becomes Dracula, and you don’t get any more vampire than that.Vampyr. Vampyr, from Life is Strange developer Dontnod, focuses on telling an emotional vampire story – and it’s an mixed with Dark Souls-inspired combat. For a large chunk of the game you’re talking to the residents of London, finding out the source of the epidemic in the city, and forging new relationships, while the rest of the time you’re fighting vampire hunters and werewolves in the misty streets.Oh, and occasionally murdering a close friend. The coolest thing about Vampyr is in choosing your victims.
You could rely on rats to get your health back, never killing anyone, and be grossly underpowered for every combat encounter. Or, you could prey on the folk who’ll never be missed. Gain their trust, complete missions for them, bring them to the healthiest, most hopeful, and most alive they’ve ever been – and then rip their throats out. You’ll get a lot of XP, but you’ll feel dead inside. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The appeal of Skyrim is that you can choose who you want to be.
A melee-focused barbarian who can punch dragons to death? A mage who can blow apart giants with fireballs? Nah, you want to be an undead vampire lord of the damned, feasting on the Nords and only traveling by night. With great bonuses like being immune to disease and poison, and a large bonus to spell damage, Skyrim can be the ultimate vampire RPG.Related:The Dawnguard expansion adds even more to this fantasy. This Skyrim add-on is entirely based around vampirism – with a legion of nosferatu called the Volkihar Clan seeking to fulfil a prophecy from an Elder Scroll, while being hunted by the titular Dawnguard vampire hunters.
Even better, players can become a Dracula-like Vampire Lord, with a new skill tree and a range of new abilities – such as moving super-fast or pulling an enemy towards you. Yes, you can become a vampire Jedi in Skyrim – no required.Legacy of Kain: Defiance. Download need for speed underground 2.
Outside of the Castlevania series, the Legacy of Kain games are some of the most popular vampire games around. There were five games released between 1997 and 2003, and while the Soul Reaver games are particularly enjoyable, we’re plumping for the final game in the series for this list – Legacy of Kain: Defiance, which was specifically developed to bring all the disparate storylines together.Even in terms of gameplay, Defiance successfully melds both of the differing Blood Omen and Soul Reaver styles – with both series protagonists playable, leading to two wildly different and equally enjoyable experiences.
There’s more enemy variety than previous games, and it’s more action-packed too – although there are still a few puzzles in the mix. The story is lots of fun thanks to sharp writing from Uncharted creator Amy Hennig, so the Legacy of Kain series went out on a high. Why haven’t we had another one in the last 15 years?Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. In the inexplicable absence of any of the great 2D Castlevanias on PC, the Bloodstained games – lead by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi – are probably our best bet. Only the first game, Curse of the Moon, is currently available – but luckily it’s fantastic. It’s essentially a modern NES game, with neat gameplay ideas and amazing boss battles. While the gameplay is akin to the first Castlevanias – platform-action games with limited special weapons and lives – Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon significantly tweaks the formula by having multiple player characters, all with different abilities.
Zangetsu is tough but close-range only, Miriam has a longer reach and can roll, Alfred has magic powers but a poor attack, and Gebel can attack upwards and turn into a bat – yes, he’s a vampire. You have to use all these characters and their various abilities to get ahead, and it makes for a challenging and enjoyable game. Not just one for fans of, after all.Bloodrayne Betrayal. Despite having a fantastic premise – kickass vampire vs.
Nazis – the 3D Bloodrayne games were never as good as they could’ve been. As it turns out, all they needed in order to turn Bloodrayne good was make it 2D and give the series to the action-platformer specialists at WayForward.Bloodrayne Betrayal is side-scrolling action game, but let’s call it what it really is – it’s a 2D Dark Souls. It can certainly be tough, especially with the sheer amount of enemies thrown at the player – if you like challenging games Betrayal is for you. It’s never impossible though, as you can always suck an enemy’s blood to get health back.
It also looks gorgeous, with timeless comic-book style and excellent animation. It’s so satisfying to cut a vampire in half and stomp on its head.Vampire: the Masquerade – Redemption. While Bloodlines is the Vampire: The Masquerade game everyone talks about, earlier title Redemption should not be dismissed. They’re very different games, for starters. While Bloodlines is a vampire Deus Ex, Redemption is closer to Diablo or The Witcher.
It’s not so much about the combat as it is pushing forward against the odds, strategically dealing with enemies, and scouring new areas for all the loot you can carry. The story sees players taking on the role of doomed crusader Christof in 12th Century Prague, hunting the vampires threatening the city before becoming one himself. The story’s fun, if full of 2000-era videogame voice acting – but the real shock comes when the story cuts to 800 years later and players get to travel to modern-day New York. This completely transforms the game from a classic medieval-fantasy hack-and-slash, to a cross between Diablo and, well, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. It may have released a while ago, but there’s still life in Redemption, and it’s one of the on PC.The Sims 2: Nightlife/ The Sims 3: Supernatural. We’re putting two entries in one here, since they’re both expansions for classic family The Sims. They also have the same goal – bring vampires to the game. Nothing livens up a straightforward simulation game more than turning it into a What We Do In The Shadows remake. The Sims 2’s Nightlife expansion added a downtown area to the game with such wholesome fare as bowling, karaoke, and getting turned into a vampire.
Vampirism is almost an Easter egg in Nightlife, but was finally expanded on in The Sims 3 expansion Supernatural – which was more specifically built around creatures of the night. With this add-on, you can turn your home into a proper Castle Dracula – gothic furnishings, secret passageways, sinister laboratories, and of course, a crypt for your undead family’s coffins. It’s fun to manage vampires. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.
We’re heading to Diablo-town with this trilogy of adventures based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, where you play the most famous vampire hunter of them all: Van Helsing (although sadly not the one played by Hugh Jackman). Set in a twisted take on 19th Century Europe, the Van Helsing games sees the titular character – son of the famous hunter from Bram Stoker’s novel – continuing his father’s mission by seeking out and destroying monsters. What we get is a trilogy of action-RPGs that are hugely inspired by Diablo, but still manage to hit all the good points from Blizzard’s hyper-addictive games. Frantic combat, entertaining monsters, interesting loot, and always feeling compelled to seek out what’s just around the next corner. If you’re tired of waiting for – aren’t we all? – The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is a fun alternative.Horror, and zombies, and ninjas, oh my:These are the best and most bloodthirsty vampire games lurking on PC.
Whether hunting locals down back-alleys, building the crypt of your dreams, or going on epic quests to purge Eastern European countries of the undead hordes – all the best games have vampires in them. We hope we’ve settled the argument once and for all: it’s fun to be a vampire. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re feeling thirsty and those necks won’t bite themselves.

Lets you create bottles of blood from sleeping victims and an optional file that also lets you harvest blood from dead animals. Sacrosanct sort of already covers this base with the Courts Chef perk but I still find BTB useful.to give Serana various combat buffsthe classic3 sets of cool vampire heavy armor that you need Ebony Smithing to create.
The Abysswalker cuirass makes regenerate Health stamina and magicka in sunlightlets you get your pickaxe and get rid of rubble piles around Castle Volkiharadds enchanted vampiric glass and ebony daggers, war axes, and swords which are good to use as a vampireApocalypse and Lost Grimoire for more illusion, destruction, and conjuration spellsdoes what it says. I did find a bug in your mod where the VLs non-lethal sunlight damage wasn't being effected by the daywalker passiveThat is not a bug. Daywalker is for mortal form.I was still getting 'Your powers recede as you feed' despite the fact you stated that feeding is supposed to make you stronger. This is another of those issues no one had a problem with until suddenly everyone does.
Anyway, there will be no major updates for Sacrosanct, I deprioritised it. Use Better Vampires. Also does every single unlockable passive need to appear in the active effects? Gets kind of crowded in there. How else are you supposed to know which passives you have? Also, people frequently request various Ordinator perks to be added to active effects. By mortal form, he very much likely means your normal base form. Not that hard to figure it out since the only other form is Vampire Lord.Powers receding is obviously meaning you're losing your beastial powers as your more human ones show through. It works the same way in Oblivion and normal Skyrim.
Go longer without feeding and your powers get stronger, yet you become more beastlike and your frost resist and fire weakness both increase. Oblivion also had abilities unlock as your stages progressed. The only ES vampire stuff that has stronger as you stay to stage 1 is BV's reverse stage progression and Vamparic Thirst I believe.
Skyrim has been out for a long time, and by this time most people have finished the game. There’s no doubt that it’s an amazing game that brings hours of gameplay with unique quests and foes. However, after a while, there’s not much you can do in the game. To make more out of this immensely popular game, different mods have been created. These mods can range from the improvement in the quality of the surroundings to mods that make stuff blow up for no reason. Before we get on to the best Skyrim mods, let’s see how you can apply them. How to Apply Skyrim Mods.
For people who do not know how to apply these mods, you will only need to click on the link of the mod you want and subscribe to it. It will download and apply itself from the Steam workshop. Some mods are not available there, so instead, we are including links to the mods. You should also download the. This will help in applying more complicated mods. So, now that you know how to apply Skyrim mods, here are the 25 best Skyrim Mods you should definitely try: The Top Skyrim Mods You Should Try 1. Relighting SkyrimIf you have played Skyrim, or you’ve just started, you must have noticed light coming from illogical sources. There are doors which emit light, or maybe there isn’t any realistic directional light.
To fix this and make Skyrim more graphically appealing, you can apply this mod. What this mod does is that it reprograms the game entirely to make lighting effects much better in the game. Light only emits from fires, stars, and other sources of light rather than basic non-luminous objects like benches and rocks.2. 2K TexturesIf you have a top of the line PC with bleeding edge specs, you should try this mod out. Skyrim – being a relatively old title – lacks some fine details and textures, and although there is an HD patch, this mod goes beyond that as well.
This mod offers textures at up to 4K (2160p) resolution. It completely changes the visuals in the game. Having these details makes the game more appealing and life-like, at the cost of some fps, as this mod does tax the GPU.3.
Apocalypse Spells ModNot all the various Skyrim mods enhance the visuals in the game, the modding community has some amazing mods to spice up your gameplay and adds features which are immensely fun to play with. The Apocalypse Spells mod adds a lot to your game; 140 spells, to be exact. These spells range from calling of basic objects to smashing enemies, to summoning ferocious tornadoes that suck everything in their path. These spells are designed very well and play well with the history and tone of Skyrim.4.
Alternate StartIf you have completed the game and want a new beginning, you can try out this mod. The Alternative Start mod offers a lot of different starting points as different characters. The characters are all different and fit in Skyrim’s storyline perfectly. The mod is integrated into your game and you can start an alternate new story in the game.
You can start as a farmer, a necromancer or many other characters of your choosing. This provides an interesting spin in the original gameplay, and characters like the shipwrecked guy on an island with nothing but the rags make for an amazing survival styled gameplay.5. Moonpath to ElsweyrExploring the same place for a long time can get boring, right? To bring new landscapes and gameplay to Skyrim, you can use this mod. This mod gets you to Elsweyr – a beautiful landscape with forests and wilderness. You can hunt and stalk your prey and even explore Elsweyr with the short six quests.
All the characters of Elsweyr are carefully created with voice acting. This mod pairs up well with the 2K Textures mod shown above, as the landscape of Elsweyr is beautiful and using those textures makes them come to life.6. Cutting Room FloorThe Skyrim world is vast. It is filled with many creatures, characters, and different landscapes. The game itself is well around 100 hours but, if you have completed and explored everything, you might want to check this mod out.Cutting Room Floor will enable you to dwell deeper into Skyrim, as this allows you to explore things which did not make the final cut of Skyrim. The mod shows you all new quests, NPCs, and many items, which were taken out.7. Monster MayhemBattling monsters is fun, but beating the same monsters over and over again gets boring.
The thrill of facing new and unknown creatures cannot be replicated. To remedy this problem, the Monster Mayhem Mod comes into play. This mod introduces many new creatures to the Skyrim world. It opens a slew of different levels, each with their own unique behemoth. Battling these monsters is thrilling and gives what most people want – more things to kill.8.
Duel Combat RealismDuel offers an amazing fix to the unrealistic combat system in Skyrim. It completely changes how every battle is fought. It forces users to pay close attention to the stamina bar, as it becomes vital for survival. This mod ties in your armor and your weapons to bring realism. If you use a good shield, it can actually stop the attack completely. This means users need to be tactical and use both defense and offense if they desire victory.9. Reverse CraftingThe Reverse Crafting mod brings a much-needed feature to Skyrim.
In plain old Skyrim, if players on their quests find something useless like a lower tier sword, that item is thrown away. You can not reuse its materials to make something else.
This mod brings that feature to Skyrim. If you find a junk item, you can recycle it and re-purpose its materials. This makes the overall gameplay better for the players because the materials can be easily used somewhere else for bigger and better things.10. Bandolier Extra InventoryThe world of Skyrim is a vast one, with many items and weapons. On your quests, you will find many items, and many are of use, so choosing between them can become a daunting task. This mod allows your character to hold more items than in plain Skyrim.
Vampire Mods Skyrim
This way, you can have all the items you need without opting to leave anything behind.11. Open CitiesSkyrim has a lot of loading screens, and everyone knows how frustrating loading screens can be. They tend to ruin the flow of the gameplay; especially when you cannot even stroll in a city without them being loaded.
To solve this issue, this mod comes into play. This mod banishes all loading screens when you are in the city. This means you are free to roam around in the city, without the annoying loading taking place.
A simple mod, yet a frustration reliever.12. Castle Volkihar ReduxThis mod is as grand as they come. It produces a fully built castle with extremely accurate textures and details.
The castle is a complete construction with eerie corridors and dungeons. It is a thing of beauty to look at but is not only about the beauty. This grand castle comes with its very own quest line, which is set after the events of Dawnguard.13. Tundra DefenseSkyrim’s quests are pretty fun to play and offer a lot of action and quests. However, you sometimes might want to slack off and just chill. This is where the Tundra Defense mod comes in. This mod introduces a tower defense style mini-game in which you build your tower and then defend it.
The mod is well built and makes you more responsible, as you need to defend your ground, else it will be overrun. You can hire guards to help defend your creation, have citizens settle in, or even trigger attacks by yourself for instant action.14. Sky UINow a lot of you might not like the stock UI that Skyrim offers and I don’t blame you.
The UI does feel a little bit clunky and you can easily get something a whole lot more intuitive by using a mod. I would recommend that you try out Sky UI – a great UI replacement for Skyrim which will surely improve the way you interact with the game. The mod offers a much more convenient inventory management system, support for full text search, sorting and extended data columns. The mod also offers complete customization, among a ton of other features, which makes it one of my go-to mods every time I think of doing another quick play through of Skyrim.15.
Return Of AtlantisThe lost city – Atlantis – has made its way to Skyrim with this mod. Through this mod, Atlantis rises from the depths of the seas to give you more ways to interact with Skyrim. This mod fits well with the Skyrim lore and offers a lot of beautiful scenery, as well as different characters for you to explore.
This dungeon is filled with merman, whirlpools, and agents of Hades. The dungeon is 4 hours long, and you need to fight a challenging boss after the four-hour exploration of the ten chambers present in this dungeon.16. FalskaarThe Falskaar mod is one of the most impressive mods out there. This mod creates a whole new continent, with a whopping 25 hours of gameplay.
The creation of Falskaar took nearly 2000 hours, and the creator now works at Bungie, creating Destiny. We encourage anyone who reads this to give this mod a try. The continent has numerous quests and wildlife, and the landscape is beautiful. Attention has been paid to the details, and the mod’s popularity further proves the great gameplay of this mod.17. Rabbit Hole DungeonThe Rabbit Hole Dungeon mod produces a vertical burrow of a dungeon, as implied by its name.
The dungeon goes 50 levels deep into the ground and offers a lot of adventure for players. The dungeon has different enemies in each of those 50 levels. You must beat all the enemies on a particular floor to proceed to the next floor, like an arena action adventure game. This makes the dungeon more challenging, as 50 levels of enemies is a lot to take on. The dungeon also changes every time you revisit it, making sure you get a new experience every time.18.
ThirteenOrange’s Quests ModsThirteenOrange creates a series of quests in Skyrim which sure are amazing. These quests are lore-friendly and fit perfectly into the Skyrim world. A lot of thought was put into the mod, as the quests offer much more than just fast enemies. There are total five quests, and every one of them focuses more on story than random fights. There are well-written scriptures, and a wide variety of landscapes to explore. You will travel to different realms, beat a giant and slay creatures.
All with one mod. A must try for all the Skyrim fans.19. EnderalIf you liked the gameplay Falskaar brought, then you are surely going to love the Enderal mod. This mod brings close to 100 hours of fresh gameplay, and it feels like a new game rather than a mod.
Enderal is beautifully created, like many other great mods out there. It features an amazing quest line with voice acting, and many new landscapes to explore. The landscape ranges from a densely forested mainland to snow covered mountains. This mod also overhauls the skill and talent system.20. Way of the MonkNow, this mod may seem a little clickbait-y, but it is still pretty cool. The mod strips off your armor & weapons and forces you to face your enemies with your bare hands.
The mod introduces two new skill trees: Unarmed and Unarmored, and it also introduces perks related to your new way of fighting. This It does not do anything but answer the question: Can I really a take on a mammoth with my bare hands?21. Immersive WeaponsFor some of you out there, modding is a way to make any game a whole lot more immersive. If that’s the case with you, then you should definitely check out the Immersive Weapons mod, a mod that will drastically enhance the variety of weapons in the world of Skyrim. The mod adds 230 new weapons to the game, all of which somehow fit into the lore, and distributes the around the world. With the mod, you’ll also be able to break down weapons at smelters and get their base components and make new weapons with custom crafting requirements that further promote immersion.
In case you like the mod, you should also the Immersive Armor mod which does pretty much the same for the armor you can find and equip in game.22. Needs and DiseasesSurvival mode mods are becoming more and popular, and this mod is for those who are looking to start out in the survival mode scene. This mod makes it necessary for your character to do mundane tasks such as sleep, eat, and drink water.
Failure to do so would result in dire consequences. This mod is not as severe as other survival mods, but it still will make sure you are wary of such things before taking off on a quest.23. Dark Brotherhood ResurrectionIf you enjoyed the Dark Brotherhood quest and its storyline then you are going to love this mod. This mod adds another 4+ hours of campaign to the Dark Brotherhood storyline. You will be accompanied by the best contract killers in the brotherhood and listen to some of the best stories they have to share. Learn more about the intricate details of the dark brotherhood and enjoy new conversations via this mod. You are a part of the brotherhood now.24.
Phenderix Magic WorldThis mod is filled with magic. It is a new setting with different structures and landscapes like the school of witchcraft. It takes you to the town of Manantis, where you will be greeted with tons of magical stuff. You will be able to learn hundreds of spells from all the schools of magic and get dozens of new followers. It even comes with a quest to help you explore the magical realm. This mod is a truly magical (pun intended) experience.25.
Skyrim RedoneThis mod is the mother of all mods. This completely changes how you play and view Skyrim. T3ndo’s Skyrim redone is a combination of different mods to give the game a complete makeover. It brings nifty new features and weapons like a grappling hook and disguises. It also is a complete overhaul of the game down to the perks, skills, and stats of every character. This is a broad and complicated mod and tends to have some issues with some systems.
However, once you get it running, it truly gives you an amazing experience.SEE ALSO: Enhance Skyrim Gameplay With The Best Skyrim ModsSkyrim might be a pretty old game, but the gameplay never gets old because there are countless mods out there for this beautiful game and each mod adds a completely new dimension to the game. If you are bored of the basic game then do try out these amazing Skyrim mods and let us know what you think in the comment section below.
Mod: Scroll CraftingI sort of don't understand why this Special Edition mod wasn't in the base game. Who exactly is making these scrolls that you find everywhere - and why can't the main character get in on the scroll-creating action?Bethesda's vanilla Skyrim oversight is fixed by the modding community yet again, adding a new branch to the skill tree and the ability to craft a scroll for any spell.
Skyrim Best Vampire Mods Pc
Besides the obvious utility function, this addition also makes it easier to have a pure magic build at earlier levels - even before you have tons of magicka available. Mod: Cooking, Brewing, and Alchemy OverhaulAn expansion to Skyrim's base crafting system, this nifty mod puts cooking pots and alchemy stations in every inn so you don't have to go hunting for them in any given settlement.
But that's just the beginning. The main draw of this mod is the brewstation, letting you brew drinks in addition to cooking the standard food options, while the number of food recipes is also bumped up significantly and a few ingredients have been added in as well.If you've already crafted every type of food, try installing this Special Edition mod and keep your craft addiction going strong! Mod: Hardcore Difficulty - No MilkdrinkersIs Skyrim too easy an experience for your walking siege engine of a Dragonborn? Does destroying enemies in the Special Edition get rote and tired? Not anymore! If you are felling dragons and giants with ease - and the town guards are no match for your Nord killing machine - try out this mod to make things more deadly. The main tweaks you'll find here are that your stamina and magicka will regenerate slower, while enemies will be tougher and block your attacks more often.
It's an addition that really increases the stakes. Mod: Extra Carry WeightOne of the most annoying things about these types of open world RPGs (other than de-emphasizing story and actual roleplaying choice) is that you always have more loot than you can conceivably carry back to town to sell or disenchant. That won't be a problem with this very helpful PS4 mod, which gives an extra 2,500 pounds of carry-weight capacity for every point you put in stamina upon leveling up! Your mage will be able to sling a couple of hundred suits of armor over his shoulder and sell 'em all! If you've ever wanted to make more money in Skyrim, this is one of the better ways to do it. Mod: Restore Vanilla SettingsAs many a giddy PS4 fan has learned after going crazy installing new features, uninstalling mods isn't quite the same as it is on the PC version of Skyrim. When you're done playing with all those nifty new mods, you might want to grab this one to scrub it all clean, especially if you went overboard and installed a bunch that don't play nice with each other. This is a life-saving fallback if you're combating broken mods that have unintended consequences, accidentally preventing you from completing main story quests for one reason or another.
